What will the application process look like?
The following are examples of application processes. Steps and requirements may vary based on the individual property’s procedures.
STEP 1: Fill out the inquiry form on The Apartments Concierge above.
STEP 2: Call The Apartments Concierge, and speak with a leasing agent to get information about available units. Pay the application fee.
STEP 3: Fill out the application provided by the leasing agent after you pay you application fee.
- The Apartments Concierge recommends that you speak with an individual representative at The Apartments Concierge office to discuss the program available that fits your income limit and maximum rent or Qualification amount.
Upon qualification, the following is required to be provided by our verification team. *PDF documents required*
- Income verification (Check stubs, bank statements, and tax return documents)
- Forms of identification
- Application fee
- Voucher
Please allow 1-7 business days to get the following verified:
- Rental history, Criminal background check, Income verification
- If approved, a letter will then be sent to you to welcome you to the property with the following information:
- Move-in date
- Unit/Apt number
- Prorated rent
- Monthly rent
- Electric/Utility provider to be selected and agreed upon by the client
- The lease will be signed after reviewing and reading the content in the leasing office after final application approval.
- Select the property you’re interested in and contact The Apartments Concierge office to ensure this property qualifies for HCV.
- You will work with your Houston Housing Authority caseworker to calculate your rent.
- Fill out a property application with an Apartments Concierge Representative.
